Kudos at Self Build Live
It was a busy but rewarding weekend for the Kudos team spent at Self Build Live 2019 in the Titanic Exhibition Centre. Over three days we guided visitors to our stand in the main hall through what can be the daunting but exciting process of a new build with a timber frame core and all the benefits a timber frame home can bring. This includes achieving a high performance, low energy home, which of course means lower energy bills and speedier build time.
Cabins with Kudos
At Kudos we don’t like to standstill and we always like to bring something new to the show. This year the star of the show was the Koto Muutama cabin that was presented at the front entrance to the exhibition hall. Architecturally designed by and for Koto, and functionally designed by Kudos, the cabin was first unveiled at Antrim Castle Gardens in summer 2018 to the delight of visitors to the gardens. The setting against the Six Mile Water River was an idyllic first outing and had many of us dreaming of creating a remote hideaway!
Built to Last
Built to the same high-quality housing standards as all Kudos homes, the low energy, precision engineered cabin proved to be a big hit. The cabins are incredibly versatile, and we had enquiries for multiples uses, including from hotels and boutique guest house proprietors looking to increase their accommodation and appeal to guests looking for something a little different for their break away. Other requests included everything from a home office or yoga studio to a garden room, a chill-out sanctuary, or luxury modular guest cabins.
